Sunningdale Golf Club, established in 1900, stands as a beacon of inland golf excellence in Berkshire, England. It boasts two world-renowned 18-hole courses: the Old Course and the New Course. The Old Course, designed by Willie Park Jr. and opened in 1901, is celebrated for its classic heathland layout, featuring undulating terrain, heather, and pine trees.

The New Course, a magnificent creation by Harry Colt that debuted in 1923, offers a contrasting yet equally challenging experience with more expansive fairways and strategic bunkering. Both courses are consistently ranked among the finest in the world, embodying the “Golden Age” of golf course architecture.

Sunningdale has a rich tournament history, having hosted prestigious events like the Senior Open Championship, Women’s British Open, British Masters, Walker Cup, and the annual Sunningdale Foursomes. Famously, Bobby Jones recorded a near-perfect 66 during Open Championship qualifying on the Old Course in 1926, a testament to its enduring quality. Sunningdale remains a bucket-list destination for golfers globally.
