A culinary adventure awaits at Fairmont Windsor Park’s MOREISH restaurant

 

Nestled in the serene English countryside, Fairmont Windsor Park is a grand hotel set within 40 acres of beautiful gardens. Home to lavish guestrooms, a state-of-the-art spa & wellness facility, an array of onsite activities and seven exquisite restaurants and bars, the hotel is the ultimate retreat for the discerning traveller.

 

At the heart of the hotel’s impressive dining offering is the MOREISH restaurant, where guests can experience a unique fusion of European and Middle Eastern cuisines. The restaurant provides an extensive breakfast with a MOREISH twist, an indulgent brunch on Sundays and a tantalising à la carte menu, catering for food aficionados and casual diners alike. MOREISH also boasts a wide assortment of beverages, including a large wine cellar and the Schroders’ Botanical Bar which specialises in local and international gins.

 

At the helm of the MOREISH kitchen is talented Head Chef, Matyas Rigo, whose dream became reality when the hotel opened in January 2022. “I was very lucky to be part of the culinary pre-opening team. From visiting the hotel in a hi-vis jacket to welcoming excited customers through our doors, it has been an incredible journey and one that I’m very proud of” said Matyas. His wealth of experience, including five years at the InterContinental London – The 02, enabled him to see the potential that MOREISH had. He commented, “During my first site visit to the hotel the team explained their ambitious plans. I was amazed and eager to be a part of their vision.”

 

With a curated selection of memorable dishes, MOREISH delivers on its promise of aromatic Middle Eastern flavours combined with refined European techniques. Speaking on the inspiration behind the menu Matyas said, “I have travelled around the world and experienced many multicultural cuisines, which made the fusion concept very attractive to me. We take classic European dishes and add beautiful spices from the Middle East, with an emphasis on using local and sustainable produce.” Aiding Matyas’ pursuit of international culinary harmony is access to some of the finest ingredients in the country, with produce from The Royal Farms and Windsor artisans within arm’s reach.
